Captain And Founder
I’m Captain Stefan, a true globetrotter with a passion for the sea and adventure. Born and raised in South Africa, I’ve always been curious and eager to explore the world. I studied Psychology and Finance, which laid the groundwork for a successful career in finance.
My fascination with financial markets led me to become an investment specialist, and I gained popularity through hosting the “Finance Minute” on a radio show and appearing on financial TV shows.
After a decade in finance, I decided to pursue my dream of sailing around the world. I bought a sailboat and set out on a journey that deepened my love for sailing and the ocean.
I became captivated by the yachting industry and devoted myself to becoming a seasoned yachtsman and also helping others to enter the industry.
To share my knowledge and passion, I became a maritime lecturer for one of the largest maritime universities in Europe, inspiring the next generation of yachties. I also address audiences at yachting events, where I share my adventures and insights.
Through my lectures, this company, appearances, and social media, I aim to inspire others to embrace the call of the sea and follow their dreams in the yachting industry. My life story is a testament to the power of following your heart and embracing change, showing the limitless potential of the human spirit.
Captain and Strategic Partner
Ard Matthew is renowned not only for his illustrious musical career but also for his impressive achievements in the world of sailing. In 2023, he captained his vessel, The Impossible Machine, in the prestigious Cape2Rio race, earning significant respect and accolades. Ard is a seasoned and qualified captain with a deep passion for the oceans, which inspired him to write a song dedicated to the sea while at the helm of his beloved vessel. The Impossible Machine holds a special place in training history, having been used by the South African Navy to train their cadets. Ard’s multifaceted talents and dedication to both music and sailing make him a celebrated and respected figure in both arenas.
